Instructions for App Setting Background Images for your Iphone.

In this folder are the background .png's that can be used to put all your App Setting's Images on.

Step 1: Find your Apps package location in your iPhone.

- You'll need Ifile or another program that can look at your iPhone's file system, such as winsch for
your Windows PC. You will also need to have OpenSSH installed on your iPhone.

-It's a good idea to change the default password OpenSSH uses for your root directory with a App like
Terminal (If you need instructions for this look on Cydia or google there are TONS of Great Instructions
with photos to help you.).

- App package setting images are generally located in one of the following places:

/Library/PreferenceLoader/Preferences/ (Files located here will have to be Hard Copied see note at end)

/Library/PreferenceBundles/ (These Folders are for App's without a Icon on the springboard)

Step 2: Look for a file called info.plist.

Step 3: Open this file in Ifile or copy it to your PCs desktop and use a program to read the .plist
(search google for a free one, theres tons).

Step 4: Look for <key>CFBundleIdentifier</key>. The next line contains the name for the folder we
will later create and will look similar to <string>com.NameOfCompany.NameOfApp</string>. Write down
this second line the part within the <string> </string>. If your image was found under
/Library/PreferenceLoader/Preferences/ there will be NO info.plist as you have to Hard Copy the image files
here, see note at the end.

Step 5: Find your packages icon. It should be the only file you found in the folder or the only file named appriately.
(Ex. If i'm themeing the settings button for Fake Operator the iamge is under the FakeOperatorPreferences.bundle folder
and is named FOSettingsIcon.png. Many Apps do NOT have retina images for their settings icons so make sure to use the
correct background.) Write down the name of the file for later use in Step 7.

Step 6: Go to your Winterboard themes location (/var/stash/Themes.random letters/ (unquie to your iPhone)
and inside your Bundles folder create a new folder with the name that you wrote down from Step 3.

Step 7: Make your image. Use the background (appropriate to your device and the icon size [retina or non-retina])
and the image you extracted in Step 5 to make your New App icon image. Name the file the name your wrote down in Step 5.
DO NOT CHANGE THE BACKGROUND PIXEL SIZE!!!

Step 8: Go inside the folder you create in Step 6 and copy the file to this location. (Using a program
like winsch you just drag and drop, using Ifile you must download the image to your iDevice [you can send
it to yourself in another e-mail then download the image into Ifile from your e-mail (Ifiles downloaded
files go to /var/mobile/Documents/ .)])

Step 9: Go to /var/mobile/Library/Caches and delete com.apple.IconsCache . DO NOT DELETE ANY OTHER FILE.
Note that this file will rebuild itself upon respring or reboot.

Step 10: Go to the winterboard settings and then dis-arm, respring, re-arm, respring.

Your new Setting's Icon should show!!!! Note that Steps 9 & 10 can make multiple images youve changed show at once,
so you can change many icons then do steps 9 & 10 once.

NOTE:
If your App's Icon image file is located in /Library/PreferenceLoader/Preferences you must HARD Copy your new
image to your iPhone. To do this, rename the original Icon image file (so you can go back to that Icon image
if you wish later). Then copy the appropriately named image to this location and follow Steps 9 & 10. You
should NOT overwrite ANYTHING in this process. This kind of icon image replacement is NOT controlled by
Winterboard so if you wish to remove it just delete the file you copied there and rename the original file
back to its original name then follow Steps 9 & 10.
